The Best Landscape in the West of

 Bamboo Forest (Bamboo path)

A winding path leading to a quiet and secluded site is one of the aesthetic elements for gardens in the south of China. A long and narrow path is superior in embodying the beauty of scenes. Entering the ecological area of bamboos, a path tens of meters long cuts across the area where bamboo shadows are slanting horizontally, with the delicate fragrance of bamboos attacking one’s nose and bamboo leaves filtering both sun shine and moonlight. Waiting to the end of the path, one finds a horizontal tablet, which reads “The best landscape in the west of Bamboo Forest”. Zhu Xi(in the west of bamboo forest)comes from the line of a poem:“Tell me where Zhu Xi is, where playing flute is heard is Yangzhou. This poem was written by Du Mu, a poet in late Tang dynasty. Another poem about Yangzhou goes that the famous city at the lower reaches of the Huai River, who knows that Yangzhou is located at the west of the bamboo (forest). It was composed by Jiang Kui, a poet in the Song dynasty. later people use “Zhu XI Jia Chu” to refer Yangzhou, “Zhu XI Jia Chu” here returns to the original meaning of the words, which reminds people that the landscape of bamboos here is beyond comparison. After pondering over carefully it suddenly dawned on me that in fact, the real Zhuxi fine landscape is all on this path amid bamboo forest.
