Croaking Frogs on Lotus Pond

Summer day in the south of is the Yangtze River described as “In the rainy season rain falls on every household; everywhere frogs croak on green grasses and on lotus flower ponds.” Thus, a frog-shaped stone is erected on the west shore of the pond and the shore is dotted with Lake Taihu stones. Light red and light purple water lilies in the pond beautify the verdant garden of summer day. This scenic spot is called “Croaking Frog on Lotus Pond.” A winding bridge with stone surface spans over the pond. After passing this zigzag bridge, the pone water enters a cave and disappears in the bosom of the rockery, which shows serenity and depth of the cave.
