Qian, a great historian of Han dynasty, mentioned of a secular view popular in the society of the Han dynasty that “If one has one thousand mu of bamboo along the Weihe River, he will be as rich as a marquis of one-thousand households.” The allusion of one thousand mu of land along the Weihe River was derived from the above biography.
